Classic Irish Coffee
Serves: 1 serving
  • glass mug with handle
  • hot water
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1-2 Tbsp Irish Whisky
  • 6 oz. strong black coffee
  • heavy cream
  1. Fill mug with hot water and let stand for 2 minutes.
  2. Pour out the water, Add sugar and whisky to bottom of mug, stir in whisky.
  3. Place heavy cream in a mixing bowl and whip until thick and frothy, but still pourable.
  4. Hold a spoon upside down over the mug and pour cream slowly over the spoon to allow the cream to float on top of the coffee.
  5. Garnish with cinnamon or cocoa.
