Dunk Alert! All you need for a summer of glorious dipping!

It’s finally summer! The deck is cleaned off, the outdoor furniture with all it’s comfy cushions awaits. All we need now are some refreshing drinks, great people, and lots of summer dips for sharing. I have you covered with my favourite go-to dips that will surely please all your barbecue party guests.

Summer-Dips_sq Dips sound easy, but they can be tricky. Some are great with veggies, others are better suited to salty chips or fries, while warm meats like meatballs or kebobs need a whole different dip experience. No problem, I got your back. Here are four super-simple recipes that will satisfy even the power-dippers at your barbecue party this summer!

Cilantro Dip 1.  CILANTRO DIP- This is the perfect dip for fresh summer veggies, pita wedges or salty chips. Also makes a great spread for turkey or chicken burgers.

  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 Tbsp horseradish
  • salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl

Tomato-Dipping-Sauce 2. SPICY BBQ SAUCE DIP- This is a great dip for fries, meatballs, or brushing on any grilled meat. Perfect for burgers.

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 2 Tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 to 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.

Honey Mustard Dip 3. HONEY MUSTARD DIP- This is a perfect dip for veggies or even veggie kebobs hot off the grill.

  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup honey mustard
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp fresh chopped dill or (1/2 tsp dried dill)
  • salt & pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.

4. HONEY GARLIC DIP – Great for ribs, meatballs or kebobs. I also love to dip my fries as well!

  • ½ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  • 4 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce

Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.
