It’s almost time to ring in the new year, so start the celebration off right with my go-to party makers!
Finish the year off right by celebrating with, what else, great food. A fun drink, lots of tasty nibbles, a few friends and you’ve got the beginnings of a memorable evening. Whether you’re planning an intimate dinner for two or welcoming drop-in guests, these are my favourite things to make the meal special.
A charcuterie platter sounds intimidating, but it’s not at all. Just lay out an assortment of cured meats, fresh or dried fruits, crackers and cheese and let your guests nibble. You can find all the party starters you’ll need in the 2015 issue or the 2014 issue of EatInEatOut™ Magazine.
Lets skip right to the best part of the meal… dessert. How about these delicious Brownie Trifles in the 2015 issue of EatInEatOut™ Magazine, what a perfect way to celebrate in style!
OMG I forgot, you need a signature cocktail to start the evening off right. This simple drink by Stephanie Arsenault our West Coast Editor, is perfect for those who prefer lighter, tart drinks over sweet ones. The addition of cranberries and ginger as a garnish offers a hint of fresh flavour, and completes the look of this stunning holiday cocktail.
HAPPY NEW YEAR (in advance)!, See you in 2016…
