This Healthier Shake’n Bake seasoning mix is great for chicken, fish or pork!
Welcome to December, it’s time to start rushing around to make the holidays wonderful for the family. Women are multi-tasking machines, whipping up a cosy, warm and magical season for ourselves, our partners and our kids. We rock!
While doing that, we also need to make dinner. Fast and tasty… everyday. A dependable go-to are chicken legs, simple and low-cost. Who doesn’t love chicken legs… moist and tender inside, crisp and flavourful outside. What I don’t like is using the popular mix with lots of ingredients I can’t pronounce.
Homemade Shake’ n Bake to the rescue! This delicious seasoning mix can be made ahead and stored in an air-tight container for months. When ready to use, just scoop out a portion and shake with chicken legs or thighs, fish or pork chops.
Kids love yummy food they can eat with their hands. Just keep this seasoning mix ready in the pantry, and when you’ve had a busy day of holiday prep, you can turn boring chicken legs into a tasting treat in a hurry!
Once you’ve coated the chicken breasts, turkey legs or pork chops, here’s is a handy guide for cooking temperatures to the right doneness.
